Bulk Edit Workflows
Bulk edit workflows - You should be able to bulk edit any workflow by package and by subcontractor - even if the workflow has already begun (locked) in case that particular individual leaves the project. Should be applicable for the CM, subcontractors, and A/E's. Currently you can only edit one single workflow at the time.
We currently have the first release that will begin to address bulk editing workflows ready – “Bulk Replace”. This functionality will allow a user to be replaced by another within the Submittals workflows.
For the initial release, these edits can be requested via support and/or your account manager. Please reach out if you need to quickly replace users in a workflow. We fully intend to make this user-facing, but want to make sure it is working as requested.
Please note, this currently only changes names, not dates.
We are not stopping here, but feel this release will have a huge impact on the need to bulk edit workflows.

I have to agree whole heartedly with Nicholas Kier's comment below. This has been an issue from inception of the "workflow". Procore is supposed to save time. Submittals suck the majority of time from the onset. And now, having to take an entire day or more to edit submital workflows individually one by one, to change a user or add a step or alter the submitters role since there is no bulk edit option is excruciatingly inefficient. Procore really needs to step up its game in this area as submittals are a huge piece of the entire project process.

Need to ability to modify workflows. If you have a 2 year project and someone changes roles you need to manually update every submittal individually. This is very inefficient.

This ability would save a lot of time and efforts in the submittal process.

Is there a reason this feature is taking so long to address? It seem's like this has been a consistent issue since 2016.

Unchecking as a 'Required' step must be done individually now - would like the ability to be done in a bulk edit

It would be great to have an update on the progress related to bulk editing Due date within the workflow? Having the ability to replace a user has been a big help, but teams really need to be able to adjust due dates for a particular step in Workflow sin a Bulk Manner!

When will the "bulk edit" workflow option be available? I see you rolled it out in some areas last year in August. When you're managing over 500 submittals in Procore there should an option to bulk edit the workflow. It's very tedious and time consuming to update the workflow in 1 package individually. I think this should be a no brainer for Procore.

I would like to be able to bulk edit submittal workflows when the submittals already have a workflow assigned but has not been started.

Doing about 200 submittals right now and a way to bulk change due dates in the workflow would be amazing.

"To bulk-apply a workflow, a submittal must be in draft status and have no approvers."
The draft status requirement for this is understandable, but the no approvers requirement is a killer because 90% of workflows applied already will have approvers selected. We spent around 10 hours editing workflows one-by-one.
Taking away that no approvers constraint would be a major improvement with editing draft submittals when project teams are just beginning to fine-tune their work processes and roles. Editing this amount of draft items one at a time is not Procore's M-O.

This is also a big request for us. It seems odd that if a submittal is in draft mode that you can't edit the workflow in bulk, even if the submittal hasn't had a single submittal uploaded to it at all. Individually editing hundreds of submittals just to change the names in the workflow seems backwards given that we can bulk-add workflows in the first place.

I get why this can't be allowed if the workflow is started but if the workflow isn't started yet, why can't I bulk apply a new workflow?

Is there an update on being able to do this without emailed customer support? Would really like to bulk edit workflows and have it at least replace what's there.

ability to bulk edit submitter in submittals templates

We really need to be able to Bulk Add additional steps to a workflow on a submittal where one or more workflow steps have already been added.

I would like to bulk edit submittal workflow when people at companies get added or moved off the job completely. It's tedious to have to update workflow on each submittal item when you are changing the exact same information multiple times.
Julie Schmidt commented
You should be able to Bulk Edit the Workflow of Submittals that are already created so that you don't have to go into each individual submittal for a contractor in order to make a change.

Submittal workflow templates. Make it so if you add/remove someone in the template that the change applies to all the submittals that the template is tagged to. This is especially handy if the architect hires a new CA and wants to add them to the team/communication. Currently you need to add the CA on every submittal one at a time, cannot even bulk edit the workflow
