Edit Documents from Mobile
I'm sure this isn't the first time you heard this, but not being able to edit documents in the documents tool from a mobile device is very limiting.

it would be nice if you could edit a document from mobile. For example: edit a excel file, fill out a pdf form or word form from the mobile app.

This should go beyond the iOS application and allow for true integration between Procore and Office 365 for direct document editing. Office 365 Documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, others) which are stored in Procore should be directly editable by clicking on them in the web browser, which will then open the document in a web-editing mode.
This feature is currently available on competing platforms (Bim3360 Docs and Aconex).

Issue:
Users can currently open office 365 documents (excel, word) stored in Procore within the native iOS apps. They cannot save the file back to Procore without first saving the file to local or onedrive and then reuploading. This is cumbersome and the extra steps prevent adoption and regular use of the documents tool.Impacted business process:
Editing and saving O365 documents stored within Procore on their iOS devices.Frequency intended use:
Multiple times a dayProposed solution:
Work with Microsoft to have Procore as an available document management tool to save to from the native iOS apps. Attached is a screen grab from within Excel on iOS for available document storage services that support this functionality. -

Edit checked out document and automatically check back in
Has anyone asked if it was possible to be able to checkout a document, say an excel spreadsheet and do edits and simply check it back in without having to do it outside of Procore. Currently you have to download to PC and then upload and search PC for that update document which usually is in your download folder on the PC. If we could have a way to do the edits within a Procore window and simply have a check in button after the edits it would be very easy. Justs a thought and maybe wishful thinking

From client:
"Right now, we're using Dropbox and Excel but ideally if we could upload everything into Procore instead of using multiple different cloud based programs, that would be great!I use the excel file on a daily basis to walk the units that are in the process of being built. I mark the dates the other trades have started and completed their work so that we know when we're able to go into those units to start our work."

Add the ability to edit files within Procore. This would be beneficial for those working out on the filed and using the mobile app.
Or create a Procore file/tool that is similar to Excel where the cells can be edited individually.

I am looking to be able to edit my documents within Procore on mobile for on the go. I have created MULTIPLE editable PDFs for my men, but I/they cannot edit them (check mark/date/name) at all on mobile, although they show that the fields are editable rendering them useless
This is a solution to the problem that Procore has still not implemented an editable and customizable 'to do' list (different from punch list).
