Implement a to-do tab, to assign items that need to be accomplished in the project
I have spoken with Johnathan Wang on a couple of occasions for the need to implement a project to-do list. We realize that you could use observations and or punch list to partially accomplish this, but it is truly not the correct venue.
Based on the system set up, this should be a pretty simple task for the engineering stand point and the work flow as it see would be similar to the following
1. Assign task to an employee, subcontractor, AIA, Owner etc -
2.the task could be anything, like get qoutes on dumpsters, order signs for safety, need submission of permit by ???? etc etc
3. Date assigned
4. Date required by
5. attachments or pictures if required
6. Response of assignee of what was accomplished
7. completed date with check off
I have, since requesting from Johnathan this tool, had at least 2 of my clients ask me if we have this capability.

Going to need a granular permission on this tool so that you can disable the ability for standard users to create tasks. Right now we are using it internally and its working very well (since the addition of categories), but it also needs to have a distribution list added so that others besides the assignee can see the task if it is tagged as private.

TASK MANAGEMENT - The ability to manage the project and the associated tasks with the schedule is a huge missing in Procore. BuilderTrend is really, really great at this piece. Take a look at how they do it and other companies like Wrike and Asana. We need a way to tie task items to schedule items so that that can be filtered by job or by assignee and updated and allow for sub tasks. It is a HUGE missing and creates a ton of issues with our company - we are constantly utilizing other programs bc procore doesn't have this feature. Having a place where the field and the team can correspond on specific tasks would be ideal. We need the field to be able to meet project management.

Wouldn't it be great if we could set little reminder and notes in Procore and connect to the issue right here in the software. Almost like a "To do" list that only applies to Procore. Or have a reminder on each task that can be set?

The software needs a task management module similiar to Asana where we can assign and track project tasks (i.e.Asana) Or an integration with Asana itself.

This is a must for Pro-Core. There should be a separate action item tracking tab. The only way to do this currently is using the punch-list tool. A Punch-list isn't the correct mechanism and you really need a separate action item section. It could literally be the same thing as the punch-list tool but it would be separate and called action items. This would apply to action item across the entire project, not just the punch list which is typically at the end.

Would like to be able to create to-do lists
Would be nice to assign location, change events, and commitments. also a response dialogue box
I am proposing the following custom tool. See attached.
• Same concept as RFI tool
• General information to include:
-Status: Open, Closed
-Ball in Court
• Ball in court to be featured in “My Open Items”
• Status should feature “Open” and “Closed”, or a side feature to close the task
• First comment should be featured on same page as General information. First comment should be the start of a thread. Second comment should be able to be made underneath the first comment. Third comment should be made underneath second comment, etc.
• Only person that can close out task is an Admin
• Option to edit comment/delete comment. Only accessible by admin
• Option to decide type of "task". ie Financial, Design Development, Violations, etc...

Having the option to pull assigned tasks from Meeting Minutes and adding to your To-Do list would be extremely helpful. Adding this feature to Meeting Minutes would work as well.

Our in-house design team uses DaPulse for this. It would be fantastic if Procore had a similar capability so they didn't have to use a separate program.

Link smartsheets. Calenders, to do lists many other forms as well.
allow a tab with multiple links to the api url's.
Just like your implementation team uses. Except put in each project with no limit to the links.
As long as the to-do list can distribute reminders PROACTIVELY not just RETROACTIVELY, this would be a good idea.
(Also, it would only be useful if we could set the time of automatic distribution to a better hour than the Defect List 8pm email!)
to-do list for user. An area for items to be listed for the user to do that is not tied to schedule or anything else. Focus would be on the mobile use over the desktop app.
