Observations - Additional Email Notification Settings
We would like to be able to manage email notifications on the Observations tool!
While we do expect to bring additional notification settings to the Observations tool, it is not currently on our roadmap. Once this initiative is prioritized, we will be sure to update this ticket for visibility.

Flexibility on Observation email notifications is key or the tool is worthless. Subs really do ignore Procore emails if they ignore the emails it total defeats the purpose of the tool.

I agree with the below, being 'prioritized' has mean't we still haven't seen an update in 12 months.
Due to the frequency of the emails the subcontractors are now ignoring the emails and in turn not paying any attention to the items with in the lists

Would like to be able to have the option to send out notification updates and closures in one email. Similar to when they are first created. Too many emails get sent back and forth and they start to get ignored.

Please change the frequency of overdue notifications to weekly rather than daily. Also, please provide the ability to adjust the notifications options in the observations tool. Subcontractors are complaining about the number of emails they are receiving daily for overdue items and when each observation is closed.

We are getting several complaints on the frequency of overdue notifications and would like to be able to change it from daily to weekly.

2 am notifications are a nuisance. Additionally, subcontractor believes it is intentional - not helping field relations.

We would like the ability to control the notifications to the various parties including notification to the creator of the observation. This would eliminate an owner/design team member from seeing unessential notifications until the observation has been completed.

We received an email from a customer who is requesting the overdue observations emails from being delivered to users in the middle of the night. He would like to be adjust the delivery time.

Make it more evident which observation notifications have been sent. For instance, if an observation was created and sent, the date notified column contains the notification date. However, if observation(s) are reassigned, it is not as evident which notifications did not go out. Also the ability to only send particular observations in lieu of "send all" or "send mine" would be ideal.

I would like the option to only send out observation status update emails as a daily bulk email, as opposed to every time the status is changed. This would be similar to the "Overdue Observation" email which was recently implemented.
This would be helpful when a large number of observations have their status changed, preventing the respective individual from having their email blown up.

There needs to be a way to "update and reissue" Observations in the same way that there is on Instructions. Many of my users assume that an update will automatically send a new notification to the assignee / distribution list (which it does not). We need this functionality, for the same reason it exists in the Instructions tool.

It would be very helpful to be able to configure or limit when outbound emails for the Observations tool are issued.
Need to be able to configure and control Observation notifications. We are getting and sending too many emails leading to 'white noise' on effective email communications around Observations.
We would like to have the same notification customization as there is in the RFI tool.
Key issue is creators getting a emails for Observations they created (not needed), but generally we need to control email notifications more specifically.

All tools should have configurable email settings in place. When you are working with multiple projects, it is very difficult to filter all the received emails for each project.
For example, for someone creating a punch list, observation list, etc. with 100 plus Subcontractors, it becomes overwhelming to say the least. If you had the ability to configure which emails you would like to receive, that would help so much with time management. Sometimes, I feel like some of us spend more time with filing these emails, then we do actually working on the list itself.

Please create a configurable table of notification emails for the observation tool like the RFI tool now has. As the creator of an observation, I don't need an email that it has been created when I send it to the assignee.

observations should be sent when they are created. You should not have to go back into the observations module from your computer in order to send notifications out. Once you create the observation, it should be sent to the assignee and the distribution list.

With such a large team and always changing, getting people to push the button to send observations has been difficult, but we like that they can be sent out all at once. In order to help manage and figure out who hasn’t sent their observations. Can observations be sent out at the end of the day each day automatically? Say, everyday at 5PM.
