Create the ability to markup spec sections just like drawings. Many markups apply to both drawings and specs.
Thank you for your feedback! We have shared your post with the development teams. We definitely intend to build this functionality and it will very likely be the next stop after submittal markup is complete.
markup on specifications
Create the ability to markup Specifications with linked RFI information. (Similar to how drawings are updated.)
Currently, no changes appear in Specs until a new bulletin is issued, leaving subcontractors in the dark as to the most up to date approved changes to the spec in question.
This can cause confusion and errors in the field.

Needing to be able to markup Specifications the same as drawings. It wold be helpful in clarifying certain items in the specifications being viewed.

We want to make a change to Specifications in response to an RFI but do not have the ability to markup Specs like we can with Drawings. At this time, making these types of changes to Specs, we would have to edit the document outside of Procore and then re-upload it.

Specifications get modified via RFI's - this happens all the time, yet you cannot mark-up specifications on Procore, this was a gap our company identified prior to signing on with procore (over a year ago) and I have yet to see any action. Not having this feature gives the wrong perception of procore to many users, please get going on this enhancement.

Please have a similar markup feature for specifications as you do for drawings. The ability of highlighting specification sections and marking up with notes would be fantastic. It would also make those small specification updates much easier (instead of printing and scanning back in).

The ability to mark specification for changes like you would with drawings. Linking Instructions or documents to the specification.

Allow markup tool in Specifications Tool - this would be great for posting addendum that may make changes to specifications.

We often receive updates on our specification however do not always receive a new specification sheet. So we are left with having to make notes/markups on the originals and this information is usually received through a CM Clarification. If would be great if we can actually link Clarifications to Spec markups.

It would be helpful to be able to add markups to the specifications such as RFI changes, ASI's or other documents just as drawings can be marked up. Sometimes RFI's do not pertain to a drawing sheet but are related to something in the specs.

The Mark-Up Tool needs to be available for Specifications similar to the Drawings.
Part of the General Contractor’s contract obligation is to maintain and create “As-builts” as we progress through the project. This means maintaining and posting RFI’s on both specifications as well as the drawings. This is a critical function and hopefully can be integrated with the next Procore update.
The user needs the ability to cloud specification sections (similar to clouding drawings) and link them to RFI's so that when a future user logs onto Procore and looks up specification they will see the clouded areas and recognize that an RFI has been generated regarding that particular spec section.

Client would like the ability to markup a spec section so they don't have to upload revisions for each change that the architect makes.

Add capability to markup specifications similar to the way you can markup drawings.

Please include the ability to bookmark specification pages.
The option or capability to mark-up specifications similar to the drawings. Add text, lines or strike through text. this would be handy if you have an addendum issued by the architect that does not come with a fully updated PDF. If they correct one line in the specs you should be able to mark-up the spec to reflect that information for all persons associated with the project to see.
Mark-up in Specifications-
Would be great to have mark-up capability in the Specifications tool. Often times, Architects issue addenda during the bidding period that only reference changes to specific verbiage within a spec section; or will replace only one page of a spec section. Ideally, we'd like to be able to mark up the spec as stated in the addenda or replace single pages within the Specifications tool in Procore. Currently, we would have to make those changes in Bluebeam or another program and then upload the modified pdf as a revision.
Be able to mark up specifications with links to RFIs/documents similar to the capabilities in drawings.

Markup specifications the same as drawings

In order to mark up specs is an essential task since you should have the ability to mark up all contract documents. Currently the way that you have to mark up the specs is to make the red lines in blue beam and then re-upload that particular specification section that was marked up.

Please implement there is not an intuitive way to link an RFI to a Specification.
