Doc Access by Permission Template/Role
To have the ability to create permission groups in the Document's manage permissions section. User is wanting to group together roles such as supers and other roles to the "Allow Access" field without selecting them manually
Thank you for your feedback! We have shared your post with the development teams. We will update this space if we have any questions or change the status.

Allow for assignment of permission templates (not named users) to the Documents tool

Agreed. Cuts out one step every job

That would be a great time saving.

On the standard project template, we have added folder permissions for standard level users to private folders, but this access does not pull through when a new project is created, and they are locked out from all the private folders unless they have admin rights.

It would also be important to have the ability to configure/template this at the company level and push to project levels.

Rather than managing document and folder access by person or distribution group it would be invaluable to allow for admins to configure both company and project document folder access by permission template/role. Procore already knows that my AE has standard access to the documents folder however rather than manually adding a distribution group to a folder and then adding them to distribution group I would like to set at a company level which people can view each folder.
For example, I would want to be able to manage the folder tree attached at each level by AE, Subcontractor, GC, Owner (see attached image for more detail)

Documents Tool file and folder permissions carry from a template project to a new project.

When add people to a project, I want to add them to specific document folders in the system. I should be able to add them with the same permission profile to each document folder.

Set up a project template where folders are set to track based on project role.
Example on every project we want to have the project superintendent have tracking on a folder in documents called 'Permits and Releases'. So he knows when he has his permits.

We would like to be able to set our folder structure up in the documents tab in our standard project template, and grant access based on the person's permission that we have granted them at the company level.
We want the person defined as "owner" in our permission at the company level to see certain folders on every project, that we do not want subcontractors to see, for instance the following folders:
2. Owner Contracdt & Applications
3. Owner Provided Equipment Sheets
4. Permits & Releases
5. Warranty Documentation
We have other folders that I want the superintendent to see on every project but no one else.
We have other folders that I want the subcontractor to see on every project, but no one else.
We do not want to have to try to manage this on every project. We want it to be set based on the permissions we have already granted them at the company level, just like every other tab or tool.
