Inspections - Add Configurable Fieldsets to Inspections
As separate quality, safety and environmental managers, we want to be able to have control of the general fields of an inspection (required, optional, hidden) so that the inspection templates are specific to the inspection types we own.
We have just added Fieldsets to Inspections! These can be configured at the company level and are applied to the Inspection general information. For more detail please see our support documentation here: https://support.procore.com/product-releases/new-releases/admin-configurable-fieldsets-for-the-inspections-tool

This is great news. Is it also possible to have specific default settings per Inspection type (Private, Default Distribution members)?

Modify the Inspection tool to allow an admin to remove default fields (Trade, Spec Section, and Responsible Contractor) from inspection templates.

The ability to add a location to each item of an inspection is necessary, whether creating with the photo tool or observation through the inspection tool. Or the ability to create observations from the drawings (which shows the location of the observation) and add as an attachment in an inspection.
Regardless of how the location is displayed in the inspection, it must be a priority to get this information in this tool.

This should definitely be a priority!
One of the things we struggle most with is locations. With all other tools, we have made location mandatory. This is VERY handy, especially with Defects, Observations, and yeah, basically every single tool.
That said, the tool we use the most is the Inspections tool - and location management has been as disaster, as the guys just always keep forgetting to put a location in!
Please reconsider this as a priority.
Want to be able to Require/Hide certain general fields related to Inspections.

Have the ability to delete, hide, inspection fields. Many fields do not apply during a safety inspection, including during a positive observation. Not all observations need to be negative.

Another good feature would be to mark certain Inspection fields as required when creating an inspection, like with the RFI Fieldsets.

Mark certain Inspection responses as Required before it can be closed

would be useful to be able to ‘turn off’ elements of an inspection that are not being used, e.g. references to spec section
