Change Event New update UOM
Change Events UOM - if I have unchecked the UOM option in the settings, then I don't want to see it in the Edit Mode when I am adding line items and have to always override the UOM just to enter the ROM. If I don't choose it in settings, then I don't want to see it in my Change Event Edit mode either. Not a fan of the new change event upgrade.

The UOM option needs to be able to be turned off entirely.
And the ability to change the Cost ROM amount in the Change Events Detail view needs to be re-enabled.
These two issues add up to dozens of hours of time lost across our business every day.

More unnecessary clicking to turn this feature off. Makes things harder especially if you have several line items in a cost event.

100% agree. The UOM has added more difficulty and inefficiency to our process than good. Please allow clients to deactivate ALL UOM fields.

Give us the choice to turn it off, please on a project by project basis. This adds unnecessary confusion to contractors not using this tool. The Change Events are already complicated enough, any added complication only makes it harder to train.
Vanessa Donatucci commented
It is a great option, but should be able to be totally turned off an a project by project basis because not everyone uses it. It is annoying to have to override a setting every time you enter a line item - that should not be the standard.

I do not like the added UOM in change orders and believe you should be able to turn it off if necessary.
Brooks Williams commented
There needs to be an option to turn this off on a project-by-project basis. Most of our projects aren't self-performing work and this feature release has only caused confusion and frustration. I definitely see the value in adding this functionality, but it adds a level of unnecessary complexity for projects that don't need it. The Change Event/Change Management process is already kind of clunky and when it's not needed it makes it worse.

The UOM is a big upgrade for us. We needed it. I just want to inject a bit of positive into this thread. Fix the Timesheet hours flowing into the budget. Create drop down menu for "Units" tied to UOM master list.
I love the new UOM Update.
You can click in Override Subtotal Manually to just modify values. Once you click that on your first line all subsequent lines should default to the Override setting.
It's a change, I get it......

The changes that were made are not in line with how my company uses Procore. I can no longer click in the ROM column to quickly change the value which is incredibly frustrating and results in wasted time. The other big issue is that even though I have turned the new view off in my configurations when I am in the change event edit page I still see these columns and its confusing my superintendents. Please correct these issues!!

Perhaps a quick fix would be to have the "Override Subtotal" checked by default and require that the auto calc be checked manually if so desired.

When disabling the UOM function on a project setting it does not flow through all functions within the financial tools. This just adds to what is already a time consuming function within your system.
Gabrielle Robitaille commented
When we check to disable the UOM function on a project, it should disable it from everywhere within the financial tools. Simply removing it from the detail view of Change Events is not actually disabling anything. The fact that teams not self-performing work now have to click to manually update values on every single line item within every CE they create is inefficient and causes confusion to an already confusing change management process in your system.
Jordie Forkosh commented
Agreed. The ability to 'disable' the UOM feature is misleading and inaccurate. Unchecking the box only removes the display from the CE Detail View...it still shows when creating a CE and editing a CE. This creates more confusion, button pushing and questions from our end users. Having to select 'override subtotal manually' on EVERY SINGLE LINE ITEM of every single change event is absolutely ridiculous and inefficient use of time for our project teams in an already confusing change management process.
