Ideally, it would be great if this could function how Inspections work:

    - Import company templates as needed (do not list ALL company forms available)
    - Create project specific templates

While the forms tool is great overall, being able to better manage company templates at the project level as well as create project specific forms would be a massive improvement!

We wanted to take a minute to provide an update.

We know this will be a very valuable feature; however, there is some underlying technology that we need to improve before we feel confident to deliver a feature like this.

As always, we’re so grateful for the continued input that each of you provided. At Procore, our vision is to improve the lives of everyone in construction. Building software to improve the lives of all roles within construction is so important to us and we continue to pursue this every day. The opinions each of you share here is critical to helping us understand if we’re heading the right direction. So, thank you!

This is pretty basic functionality to meet a need that occurs a lot in the real world. This original idea was posted over 4 years ago, and still no traction or update. What gives Procore?

The reports tool is pretty worthless for creating punch list reports if you can't include sub-locations! Seems like this should be a relatively easy fix to make to improve the tool. If you can include sub-locations in the Punch List tool or on mobile, why can't you do this when creating a report.

I have a project with 859 Interior locations, and several hundred exterior and other locations, so having to go through an manually select every location is a huge waster of time.

We typically create a per-room type punch inspection template for our projects to document that we actually inspected all items within a specific room during the punch list process. We really need a way to link failed items from thie punch list inspection to a punch item, instead of just an observation. The wat it's currently set-up now, we're forced to track everything as observations instead of punch items.

Perhaps a simple toggle on the inspection creation template: Failed items link to Observation or Punch Item? This would be immensely beneficial to our projects.

Quite often a single point person preforming CA on a project will field all RFI's coming into the design team and route them to the appropriate person. It would be good to have a setting option where a "default assignee" could be listed, and they'd automatically be added to all RFI's as the dault assignee. Additional optional/required assignees should still be able to be added at this point.

BONUS: Ability to select multiple people (required and/or optional) as a default assignee.

It is a waste of time and clutters up all of the reports to have to clone company level reports within a project just so you can distribute them. You should only have to clone the report if you need to customize it for your projet specific needs.

Completely agree with the previous comments. This should function just like the table views within a Project, such as RFI's, Submittals, Observations and Punch List, where you can edit and rearrange the table columns through the three-dot widget tool in the upper right.

    Thanks!

Ability to customize columns on Company Portfolio List, such as ability to turn off certain columns that may not needed, or ability to add other columns such as project start and completion dates.

Any update on this status as it's gotten quite a few comments over the past 5 years it's been open!

As Company Admins, it would be immensely useful and helpful to either bulk edit or inline edit project information from the Company Portfolio, instead of going into each individual project's Admin tool to edit this information.

Quite often we have to change, edit, modify, etc. project settings such as Program, Status, Stage, Type and Department. You can inline edit the Notes, so the code already exists and shouldn't take too much effort to apply it to the other data fields, granted they should pull from predefined lists.

    Thanks!

It would be good to be able to in-line edit general project information within the company portfolio (by Company Admins only).

A lot of the time, some of this information is not known at project creation, and the project teams often do not edit this information. Company Admins could easily edit this missing information at the Company Portfolio (like, program, status, stage, etc.)

Definitely need a way to change the sorting order, ideally by ascending/descending order, or be able to collapse sorting. It is not efficient to have to scroll through a list of a few hundred observations because of type sorting (see attached image).

See photo examples. The role pull-down listing is different when creating a project versus from within the project directory. Should match the listing within the project directory, which is dictated at the Company level.

When creating a new project at the Company level, adding people to the directory only lists their name, and not their associated company. I've had several instances of people with the same name and do not know which person to add as their company is not listed.

Is there a way to have their company listed along with their name?

We all rely on phone calls and text messages on a daily basis. Quite often, when we have that "problem" subcontractor, we need a way to archive or log all of the texts we exchange with them in the case we need to elevate their issues to a claim, dispute, or even termination. Emails, phone calls and text messaged are all discoverable in the event that something gets legal. We can already log emails and phone calls, but have no method to log or archive text message conversations in Procore.
